For teen riders covering serious terrain, the woom OFF 6 is built to match where they are going
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"For a parent buying a mountain bike for a 10 to 14 year old who takes trail riding seriously, the OFF 6 is worth a close look. The longer cranks, wider bars, and 11-36T cassette are all sized for what a bigger rider actually needs, and the dropper-ready frame means the bike can grow with them as the terrain gets more technical."
The OFF 6's 6061-T6 aluminum frame uses butted and hydroformed tubes sized for riders aged 10 to 14, with a low top tube for easy dismounts, a long wheelbase for trail stability, and a dropper seatpost-ready seat tube for riders pushing into more technical riding. The ultralight carbon fork runs a 100 x 15mm thru axle with a tapered steerer for added stiffness. SRAM X5 trigger shifters index through 9 speeds backed by an 11-36T cassette and 28T narrow-wide chainring, the widest range across the OFF line and suited to the more demanding climbs that come with bigger trails and stronger riders. The 150mm forged aluminum cranks with a narrow Q-factor are proportioned for the hip width of the 10 to 14 age range. Promax hydraulic disc brakes run 160mm rotors front and rear with ergonomic child-tuned lever reach. The Alexrims tubeless-compatible wheelset runs 28 G14 triple-crossed spokes with aluminum nipples and thru axles front and rear for maximum torsional stiffness. Schwalbe Rocket Ron 26 x 2.35" tires with ADDIX SPEED compound balance rolling efficiency and grip across hardpack and loose terrain. The flip-flop stem adjusts handlebar height without additional hardware. The rigid carbon fork cannot be swapped for a suspension fork later. If suspension is a priority, consider the OFF AIR.
Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.
