Trailcat SL & LT
Fast Forward To The Sweet Spot
These all-new mid-travel trail mountain bikes follow in the spirit of their predecessors—but are built to offer more. Pivot compiled the best tech, set the dial in the middle, and fast forwarded to the sweet spot of trail MTBs.

One Frame, Two Bikes
This duo of trail bikes sets a new standard for versatility and performance. The all-new Trailcat SL is a short-travel shredder replacing the much-loved Trail 429, while the Trailcat LT shares the same frame but tweaks the linkages to bump up the travel for rowdier drops. Both have internal frame storage, are MX-capable, and will elevate every ride, whether you’re chasing flowy singletrack or tackling steep, technical descents.

Toolshed™ In-Frame Storage
This is a first for Pivot, and they did not disappoint, designing one of the most secure and easy-to-use frame doors on the market. Toolshed™ in-frame storage allows you to bring tubes, tools, and maybe even a calorie-dense burrito along on your rides. And with an integrated strap loop, Toolshed™ is designed to be completely rattle-free.

Trailcat SL
Combining XC-inspired efficiency with trail capability, the Trailcat SL is Pivot’s answer to the elusive yet sought after all-arounder. It’s got 120mm of finely tuned DW-link suspension to effortlessly convert your pedaling power into forward momentum, so you can glide unwaveringly up even the loosest climbs. The SL’s geo is perfectly tuned to accommodate the 140mm Fox 34 fork—meaning this ain’t some “slap more travel on an XC bike” sort of thing—this is the real deal.

Trailcat LT
What we’ve got here is the same Trailcat frame as the SL, but links optimized for additional travel. With the LT, Pivot set out to redefine what a trail bike could be, challenging expectations and setting a new benchmark for the trail category. The masterfully tuned DW-link with 135mm Fox Float X rear suspension maximizes traction and efficiency on climbs while the 150mm FOX 36 fork provides a plush, bottomless feel when charging through rocky, root-strewn descents. Nimble, planted and always in control, the LT encourages you to push harder and ride every trail like it was built just for you. This is a trail bike, and then some.

Choosing Your Cat
How does one even make a decision like this? The perfect all-arounder vs. the all-arounder 2.0. Our advice? Be realistic about the terrain at your disposal and the experience you want to have on it. Both are just simply rad—you just need to decide how loud those drops you’ve been skirting on the left are calling out to you. Pretty loud? Grab the LT. Nah, you’re happy shredding 95% of the trail instead of 100%? Go for the SL.
