The OFF 4's 6061-T6 aluminum frame uses butted and hydroformed tubes for a stiff, lightweight structure sized for the 6 to 8 age range, with a low top tube for easy dismounts and a long wheelbase and low center of gravity for trail stability. The light carbon fork runs a 100 x 15mm thru axle and post mount for the disc brake, keeping the front end both light and stiff for responsive steering on varied terrain. SRAM X5 trigger shifters index cleanly through 9 speeds backed by an 11-32T cassette and 28T narrow-wide chainring, giving a gear range suited to real climbing. Promax hydraulic flat mount disc brakes with 140mm rotors front and rear deliver consistent stopping power in all conditions with child-tuned lever reach. The Alexrims tubeless-compatible wheelset runs 20 G14 double-crossed spokes with aluminum nipples and thru axles front and rear for maximum torsional strength. Schwalbe Rocket Ron 20 x 2.25" tires with ADDIX SPEED compound balance low rolling resistance on hardpack with enough volume and grip for loose and rocky trail surfaces. The 110mm child-specific cranks maintain a narrow Q-factor for this age group.
