The Santa Cruz Nomad CC Eagle 90 proves 170mm of VPP travel can climb as well as it descends
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The Nomad 7 marks a real engineering step forward. The updated anti-squat and anti-rise figures translate directly to a more composed, efficient ride. Paired with SRAM Eagle 90 T-Type and Reserve 30 alloy wheels, this build hits a spec sweet spot for riders who want capable, serviceable components without compromise. The Fox-level fork is absent here, but the Zeb Select is no slouch for all-day enduro riding."
Who It's For
Experienced trail and enduro riders ready to commit to a dedicated long-travel platform.
The Nomad CC Eagle 90 suits riders who have outgrown shorter-travel bikes and want a chassis tuned for technical descending without sacrificing climb-ability. If you're chasing steeper lines, faster descents, and a bike that keeps up with your progression, this is where you land.
What It's For
Enduro racing, lift-access days, and demanding all-mountain terrain.
At home on steep, rooted, and rocky singletrack where 170mm of rear travel and a 63.6-degree head angle inspire confidence. The MX setup brings 29" front rollover with a snappier 27.5" rear, well-matched to variable enduro terrain. Compatible with a 36t max chainring and sized for up to 27.5x2.5 rear tires, the frame accommodates a range of setup preferences.
Why We Like It
Refined VPP kinematics, capable components, and a CC carbon frame built to last.
The Nomad 7's updated VPP suspension lowers anti-squat and anti-rise figures versus the previous generation, translating to better pedaling efficiency, less braking harshness, and improved traction throughout the travel. The CC carbon frame includes Glovebox V2 storage, top tube accessory mounts, and ISCG05 chain guide mounting, all backed by a lifetime warranty.
SRAM Eagle 90 T-Type 12-speed handles shifting duties with a 10-52t cassette, while SRAM Maven Base 4-piston brakes with 200mm rotors provide reliable stopping power. Reserve 30 alloy wheels on DT Swiss 370 hubs roll on a proven Maxxis MX tire combo: HighRoller EXO+ up front, Minion DHR II Double Down out back.
Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.

Who Rides The Nomad:

The Nomad Loyalist
Already knows the Nomad by name. Wants the most capable pedal bike Santa Cruz makes and won't compromise on travel, geometry, or build quality

The Downhill Dreamer
Lives for the descent. Tolerates the climb to get there. Wants a bike that stays planted and composed on the steepest, most technical terrain on the mountain

The All-Day Sender
Rides hard, packs light, keeps it simple. Needs a bike that handles everything from jump lines to rowdy backcountry descents without requiring a pit crew to maintain it
