Santa Cruz built the Nomad CC X0 AXS as the flagship of their most capable pedal bike platform

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"Every component on this build was chosen to extract maximum performance from the new Nomad platform. The X0 AXS T-Type drivetrain is the lightest and most refined wireless option SRAM makes, the Fox 38 Factory with Grip X2 is best-in-class at the front, and Reserve 30 carbon wheels on DT Swiss 350 DEG DF hubs are as light and stiff as alloy alternatives can only dream of being. If you are serious about enduro riding, this build justifies every penny."

Who It's For

The most demanding enduro riders who want a no-compromise flagship build.

The X0 AXS RSV Coil is for riders who have ridden enough bikes to know exactly what they want and are ready to invest in the best. SRAM's X0 AXS T-Type ecosystem offers the lightest and most precise wireless shifting available, while the full Fox Factory suspension package and Reserve carbon wheelset represent the top of what the Nomad lineup can carry. If you race enduro, session lift access bike parks, or simply ride hard enough to feel the difference, this build is built around you.

What It's For

Lift access laps, enduro race days, and any trail where top tier performance is the baseline.

The Fox 38 Float Factory fork with Grip X2 damper and Fox DHX2 Factory coil shock deliver a suspension package calibrated for sustained high-speed, high-consequence riding. With 170mm of redesigned VPP travel, a 63.6-degree head angle, and a 29"/27.5" MX mullet setup, the Nomad handles the steepest and most technical terrain with total authority. The coil shock setup in particular provides a progressively plush feel that air shocks simply cannot replicate on the biggest hits.

Why We Like It

The Nomad has always been the most capable descender in the Santa Cruz lineup and this generation is the best yet.

The redesigned VPP kinematics bring lower anti-squat and reduced anti-rise figures over the previous generation, improving pedaling efficiency, reducing square-edge harshness, and keeping the rear wheel planted and tracking under braking. The revised leverage rate delivers more consistent suspension feel from top to bottom with increased small-bump sensitivity when the travel is loaded. These are meaningful, rider-perceptible improvements that make the platform worthy of every component on this build.

The SRAM X0 AXS T-Type wireless drivetrain with a 10-52t cassette and AXS Rocker Pod Controller is the lightest and most capable wireless option in the SRAM lineup. SRAM Maven Silver 4-piston brakes with 200mm rotors front and rear deliver powerful, consistent stopping power on the steepest descents. Reserve 30|HD Carbon wheels front and rear on DT Swiss 350 DEG DF hubs represent a significant weight and stiffness advantage over the alloy wheelsets found on builds below, wrapped in the proven Maxxis HighRoller EXO+ 29x2.4 and Minion DHR II Double Down 27.5x2.4 enduro tire combo.

The CC carbon frame includes the updated Glovebox V2, top tube accessory mounts, and mechanical derailleur routing, all backed by Santa Cruz's lifetime warranty covering the frame, pivot bearings, and Reserve carbon rims. The Fox DHX2 Factory coil shock is size-specific tuned from 400lb to 550lb spring rate. A OneUp dropper post with up to 240mm of travel, 42mm OneUp Enduro stem, and 800mm aluminum bar complete a cockpit tuned for the most aggressive riding positions.

Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.
