The woom GO 3 AUTOMAGIC gives kids a 16" two-speed bike with no shifting required

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"The Sturmey-Archer A2 hub is a smart application for this age range. Internally geared, sealed from weather and debris, and completely automatic. The child never touches a shifter. For a 4 to 6 year old who is still developing coordination, removing that variable entirely means they can focus on balance, braking, and building speed instead of managing gears."

The GO 3 AUTOMAGIC shares its AA 6061 butted aluminum frame, geometry, and most components with the standard GO 3, with one meaningful addition. The Sturmey-Archer Automatic A2 rear hub is an internally geared two-speed system with sealed bearings that requires no cables, no shifter, and no maintenance input from the rider. It reads the bike's speed and shifts between low and high gear automatically at approximately 7 mph, with low gear for easier starting and climbing and high gear for open-ground speed. The freewheel drivetrain means no coaster brake resistance at push-off, and the 95mm forged aluminum cranks maintain the narrow Q-factor appropriate for the 4 to 6 age range. Two independently operated mini V-brakes with Jagwire cables use child-specific levers sized for small hands. The quick-release seatpost clamp and ABC fit guide on both stem and seatpost keep sizing current as they grow. Schwalbe Little Joe 16 x 1.4" tires and Schrader valves round out the build.

Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.
