The woom GO 2 gives kids ages 3 to 4.5 their first pedal bike without a training wheel in sight
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The GO 2's geometry is what makes the no-training-wheel transition work. The low standover, long wheelbase, and child-specific 80mm cranks put a three year old in a position where balance comes naturally before pedaling even starts. Most families who use it after a balance bike report their kid riding independently within days, not weeks."
The GO 2's AA 6061 butted aluminum frame uses a very low entry height, long wheelbase, and forgiving front-end geometry that gives children aged 3 to 4.5 the same natural stability they had on a balance bike, just with pedals added. The 80mm forged aluminum cranks use a narrow Q-factor to match the actual hip width of kids this age, avoiding the splayed-leg position that makes learning harder on bikes with adult-proportioned drivetrains. The closed chainguard fully covers the chain to protect hands and clothing. Schwalbe Little Joe tires provide low rolling resistance on pavement and packed surfaces, with Schrader valves for easy inflation at any gas station. Two independently operated mini V-brakes with Jagwire cables use ergonomic levers designed specifically for small hands and short fingers. The BMX-style high-rise bars adjust plus or minus 10 degrees and carry an ABC fit marking that corresponds to the seatpost, making setup and ongoing adjustment straightforward.
Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.
