The woom GO 4 brings 7-speed shifting and a 20in wheel to kids learning how gears work

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"What sets the GO 4 apart for the 6 to 8 age group is how the shifter is designed to teach. The microSHIFT twist shifter is intuitive, the gear indicator uses incline graphics instead of abstract numbers, and the 11-28T cassette gives enough range that kids can actually feel the difference between gears. It removes the mystery from shifting without dumbing it down."

The GO 4's AA 6061 butted aluminum frame steps up to 20" wheels sized for the 6 to 8 age range, with geometry that maintains the low entry and forgiving front-end handling of the GO line at a larger scale. The microSHIFT Ds45 twist shifter introduces manual shifting through a child-friendly interface where the gear indicator displays terrain graphics alongside numbers, giving riders a visual shortcut to understanding which gear fits the situation. Seven speeds backed by an 11-28T cassette and 28T narrow-wide chainring cover a practical range for neighborhood riding and gradual climbs without overwhelming a new shifter. The 110mm forged aluminum cranks use a narrow Q-factor appropriate for this age group, and the quick-release front skewer speeds up wheel removal for transport or maintenance. Two independently operated mini V-brakes with Jagwire cables use ergonomic levers sized for the hands of 6 to 8 year olds. The ABC fit guide on both the stem and seatpost keeps the position dialed as they grow through the full age range.

Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.
