Lightweight, geared, and trail-ready. The woom EXPLORE 6 is the last kids' bike they'll need
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"What I appreciate about the EXPLORE 6 is that woom didn't just scale up the 5. The longer 150mm cranks, wider 620mm bars, and 11-34T cassette are all proportioned for this age group specifically. It rides like it was designed for a 10 to 14 year old because it was."
The EXPLORE 6's AA 6061 butted aluminum frame uses child-specific geometry sized for riders in the 10-14 range, with a lightly stretched stance that builds good position habits before they transition to adult bikes. The 26 x 2.10" Schwalbe Billy Bonkers folding tires run a wider profile than the EXPLORE 5, adding grip and stability on looser surfaces without slowing things down on pavement. The microSHIFT Acolyte trigger system delivers clean 8-speed index shifting with a rubber-coated lever sized for growing hands. The 11-34T cassette paired with a 28T narrow-wide chainring covers a wide enough range for both open road and climbing. Promax hydraulic flat-mount disc brakes run 160mm front and 140mm rear rotors, and 28 double-crossed stainless steel spokes bring added wheel durability for riders putting in bigger miles. The ABC fit system on both stem and seatpost keeps sizing dialed as they grow.
Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.
