New Santa Cruz Hightower Mountain Bike
Redesigned To Take You Higher
Hightower has sat firmly in the mid-trail category and defined itself as the quintessential do-it-all MTB. But as the category keeps evolving to gobble up the end pieces of cross-country and enduro, Santa Cruz had to butter up Hightower to be more flavorful than ever. Travel is now longer, handling is more well-rounded, and the ride is imbued with a surplus of confidence.
Longer Front & Rear Travel
Santa Cruz pushed travel out from 150mm to 160mm in the front and 145mm to 150mm in the rear. They altered the geo to accommodate, so Hightower is a bit slacker while retaining the well-balanced ride quality critical to the trail category. It still climbs quickly and delivers on agility, but now remains composed over the bigger features its longer suspension is aimed at.
New, Lowered Linkage
Hightower’s been hard at work to solve its anti-squat dynamics. The shock and the linkage have been moved down in the frame to reduce anti-squat, allowing you to get into the longer travel, suffer less harsh pedal dynamics, and feel a better ride over all the small bumps on the trail. Hightower is now a bike any level of rider can pick up and have a fantastic time on.
