Soloist 105 Road Bike

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I like how the Soloist doesn’t force you to choose between an aero bike and a climbing bike. The frame feels stiff at the bottom bracket, tracks confidently at speed, and the 34mm tire clearance adds real-world versatility. The threaded T47 interface is a mechanic-friendly bonus, especially if you’re putting in big training volume."

The Soloist Road Bike represents Cervélo’s answer to the rider who demands race-level performance in every ride. Designed as a modern evolution of an early-2000s icon, the Soloist blends aerodynamic efficiency with a lightweight carbon layup to create a platform that thrives in fast group rides, road races, and long solo efforts alike. By positioning the Soloist between the S5 and R5, Cervélo achieves a careful equilibrium of drag reduction and climbing agility, making it a true high-performance all-rounder.

The frame uses race-proven geometry drawn directly from the R5, delivering sharp steering precision and balanced weight distribution for confident descending. A BBright T47 threaded bottom bracket enhances stiffness at the drivetrain interface while improving long-term serviceability. The chassis supports both mechanical and electronic drivetrains, offering broad compatibility across Shimano and SRAM 12-speed systems. Disc brake integration with 12x100mm front and 12x142mm rear thru-axles ensures braking consistency and wheel security under race loads. Clearance for tires up to 34mm expands setup options for rough pavement and endurance-focused builds.

Whether built with alloy or carbon cockpit components and paired with alloy or carbon wheelsets, the Soloist is engineered as a single-bike solution for serious road cyclists. It is purpose-built for high-speed training, competitive racing, and riders who want aerodynamic gains without sacrificing everyday usability.

Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.

The Cervélo Difference

Cervélo was founded in 1995 by engineers with a singular focus: measurable speed. From the start, the brand has taken an uncompromising, data-driven approach to bike design, defining clear performance goals, validating them through testing, and refining every detail until gains are proven.

This process has produced some of the most aerodynamically efficient, lightweight, and stiff bikes in the sport. Across road, aero road, triathlon, endurance, and track platforms, Cervélo continues to set benchmarks for performance and efficiency, trusted by professional teams and riders who demand results they can feel on the road.
