Shimano has launched the XT into completely new territory with an all-new wireless shifter and derailleur system. Available in 12-speed mid- and long-cage options for analog rides and 11- and 12-speed long-cage for e-MTB, all four XT Di2 derailleurs deliver precise quick-with-a-click shifting. Wide link structure, a skid-plate design, durable aluminum plates, and solid, shielded pulleys add robustness and longevity, and a new Automatic Impact Recovery function instantly returns the derailleur to its original position after impact.

On the e-MTB side of things, direct wiring to your e-bike battery eliminates the need for a separate battery, and intelligent shifting enters the picture, with new free- and auto-shift modes.

Shift Smarter

Up front, Shimano’s done some tinkering to make an even more seamless ride feel. The new wireless Shifter Switch features a familiar fit and multi-axis adjustability, making it Shimano’s most natural-feeling yet. Multiple shift modes, like hold-down multi-shift and 2-step multi-shift, offer versatility and precision, while the tactile click prevents mis-shifts. Meanwhile, a programmable third button hooks up with E-TUBE PROJECT app for fully loaded customization.

Brake wise, a redesigned alloy lever delivers powerful pull with a consistent feel to the new XT Di2 lineup. The line’s 2- and 4-piston caliper brakes also got a face lift, with better heat management, less rattle, and enhanced SERVO WAVE tuning, which optimizes the power curve and manages pad-to-rotor friction for better balanced braking.

Built around Shimano’s 30mm alloy tubeless rims, this durable stainless steel–spoked wheelset delivers balanced compliance and stiffness for a ride like no other. Spinning on revised XT hubs, this wheelset is stronger, more durable, and responsive than its predecessor.

Another upgrade that turns round an axis is the perfectly balanced crankset. Familiar HOLLOWTECH II alloy forging and a 24mm steel spindle come together to form a crankset that’s strong enough to survive burly enduro impacts yet light enough for XC use.
