Across the frame and the fork, the new Soloist gained surface area and shaved grams, and the experimentation pays off. At just 6.85 kg, this redesign clocks in 8.6 Watts faster than the previous model. A new one-piece handlebar design furthers the weight saving and aero gains.

When compared in the wind tunnel, the new Soloist significantly narrows the gap between the previous design and the top-tier S5. In other words, this bike’s approachable price yields major payoffs when it comes to performance.

Performance Driven

The new Soloist goes aggro when it comes to geo, matching the higher tier R5 millimeter by millimeter. Compared to the previous model, this bike lowers the bottom bracket by 2mm across all sizes, making way for larger tires, as modern road racing demands. Like the R5, the new Soloist has size-specific seat tube angles, keeping the ride position aggressive for every rider.

The Total Package

Every build comes equipped with the new HB18 one-piece cockpit. This new handlebar reduces drag across all sizes thanks to its 134g weight reduction, making it 5.8W faster than the Soloist’s previous cockpit.

Carbon wheels from Reserve come standard on this bike, too. Whether you get 40|44s or 42|49s comes down to your build tier.

And lastly, every build includes a pair of optional Cervélo’s aero bottles and cages. These design upgrades work seamlessly with the bike’s in-frame storage, and their 4.3W faster than round bottles. While the bike goes it’s fastest without the hydration support system, it’s an upgrade we’ll take on long, hot courses.
