Why We Built The Backcountry Slickrock Pant
"The tapered fit of these pants is genius. I have plenty of room to pedal with kneepads, but the pants aren't so baggy that they get hung up on my saddle." —Gearhead® Expert Alex
From high-speed enduro trails to cool weather singletrack epics, we're pretty big fans of riding in pants. Our Backcountry Slickrock Pant is lightweight and breathable enough to be worn for long days of shuttling and even has zippered side vents to dump heat while climbing. And for those days when pedaling to the top is the name of the game, the pants taper down at the ankles so they don't get caught in our chainring and have reflective elements so we can stay seen in low light hours.

Fit is awesome! Needs more pockets.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Love them but almost returned because there’s only 2 pockets. Not great for travel but great for biking and bumming around.

Better than imagined
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I was looking for some casual and functional pants. I always wear shorts and hate pants. The material is actually quite breathable. I would normally never wear pants biking or hiking however these are the pants to wear. The access on the sides if you need to make any adjustments for knee pads or just leave the sides open for extra venttialtion came in handy when I was out hiking in the desert. I highly recommend these. I am about to buy my third pair. This should go without saying but the material is easy to burn so if you are wearing these around a campfire make sure to keep some distance. I did burn a very small whole the first day of testing. Other than that they are rock solid.

Love these pants so far. Easy to get on and off, true to size and comfortable. Too new to speak to durability.

Purchased this pants in chipmunk color and while I like the style and feel. The fabric attract dirt and grime and even after taking extra steps on those stains. For this is not a pants that match the reality of MTB.

My go to winter cycling pants.
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I bought these this fall after wearing the shorts for most of the summer. With cycling shorts and light merino long underwear, I have perfected my lower body winter fat bike clothing set up.

Super comfortable
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
These pants are great! Super comfortable, the fabric is amazing and balances ventilation with warmth while cycling. Pockets run a bit small but keep everything tucked away and don’t allow movement, which is really nice while biking. The fit around the calves is snug, a bit loose around the knees, and then keeps its fitted cut around the waist. These will be my go to pants for biking, hiking, and maybe even around town!

Really wanted to like those pants …
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
It fits well and is comfortable, until you start moving. It breathes very poorly and the side vents are insufficient to let the heat out. When biking, the seat of the pants has no grip and they’re sliding all over. Also the pockets are awkward, phone or wallet always stick out and slide around uncomfortably. Only good part: the fabric seems fairly robust when crashing.

4 way stretch - ultimate comfort
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
love these pants, work for pretty much any outdoor activity and also looks good to wear in a social street setting too. Pockets are placed in the best spots, zippers by the ankles are great for a good fit. They fit me a little too long, but I have short thick legs. The extra length in the legs doesn't bother me at all.

Do it all MTB pants
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I originally picked these up for mountain biking but have come to find myself wearing them for everything from camping to travel. The lightweight fabric has nice stretch which obviously makes them great on bike but they are surprisingly rugged and durable at the same time. Would definitely recommend!

Slick Pick!
- Familiarity:

These pants look great. The fabric is light and has a little stretch making them perfect for riding on a cooler day. They have room if you want to layer and still have enough clearance to not get hung up on your saddle when descending a rocky single track.
