Feature-driven trail performance defines the Slickrock 11in Bike Short with stretch, sun protection, and durability

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

“I recommend the Slickrock 11in Bike Short for riders who want reliable trail performance without extra bulk. The stretch and breathability are spot-on, and the UPF protection is noticeable on long, exposed climbs. It’s a well-balanced short for consistent trail riding.”

We designed the Slickrock 11in Bike Short as a purpose-built solution for riders logging serious time on trail. On long summer rides where heat management and mobility are critical, this short delivers a stable, comfortable platform that supports aggressive pedaling without restricting movement. It’s built for technical terrain, extended climbs, and sustained efforts where fit and fabric performance directly affect how long we can stay in the saddle.

From a construction standpoint, the Slickrock 11in Bike Short uses a lightweight recycled nylon fabric with 4-way stretch to accommodate dynamic riding positions. The integrated belt system allows for micro-adjustments on the fly, eliminating the need for external hardware that can cause pressure points under packs or hip belts. A C0 DWR treatment provides light weather resistance, while UPF 50+ protection helps manage prolonged sun exposure during high-output rides.

About The Backcountry Brand

Backcountry began in 1996 with two skiers, a stack of avalanche beacons, and a garage in Park City, Utah. Our roots were humble, and we've grown since then, but our vision is still clear: to sell the best outdoor gear—and to create gear that’s even better through our very own gear and apparel brand.
