Great summer riding pants

Posted the review just to help people out on fit, as pants for me are a nightmare. I'm 5'10 205 with 27" legs, so in a skinny pants world it's almost impossible to find a good fit. I have 32" waist butnsized up to large just for more room in the thigh, and the choice was right. The fit is good. Rides 2" above my knee and my inseam is 31" Material is very thin, like swim trunks. Stretch is excellent. Which is fine as I'll be riding in hot summer weather. Pockets are small but I only ever put a car key in them, and they zip shut, so I'm fine with it. Just fyi, the vents in the fly area come up pretty high, so if you're not wearing 5" or longer underwear you'll see some skin

I'm 5'8" 155 lbs, so the 9" inseam are perfect for me. These shorts are lightweight and comfortable. I went with a size small. I have two pair of these (10" inseam) in the previous style from Backcountry which I also like.

Super light weight and breathable. These shorts feel great and look just as good. There is plenty of room for a chamois but still high enough that you won't catch the crotch on your saddle. I will for sure be buying more of these in the future.

I’m very pleased with these shorts. They’re thin and light, and—most important to me—while they’re not form-fitting, they’re tidy enough to not get caught on the saddle nose, etc., when moving around. I’m between a small and a medium, bought both to try and stuck with the small for that reason. I think they’re nice looking. The snap-and-belt system at the waist is convenient and effective. It’s great that you can order them at any leg length you prefer—7, 9 or 11 inches. The zippered hip pockets are very well done. I try not to have anything in my shorts pockets when riding, but if I do put something in a pocket, I’m plenty happy to know it’s secure there. A back pocket would be convenient for after riding, but I can respect the decision to skip it for aesthetic, weight and functional reasons.

Almost the perfect short!

I know these are geared towards mountain biking, but I have the previous model and they work great for climbing! Good air flow, but durable. Dries quickly. -Most important aspect for climbing multi pitch: accessible zippered (so you don't have to worry about dropping things) pockets that are deep enough to allow you to adjust your phone etc that's within you pocket above or below your harness leg loops. If they had just one (even very low profile) back pocket they would be perfect!
