We designed long gravel routes around the Flyway C GRX 610 because it thrives when the pavement disappears. Salsa builds this carbon gravel platform around its Class 5 VRS™ design, which strategically reduces vibration to smooth out washboard gravel and broken backroads. The result is a ride that stays comfortable and controlled when the miles stretch well beyond the horizon.

The drivetrain centers around Shimano’s GRX RX610 gravel group, paired with a wide-range 12-speed cassette that delivers reliable shifting and climbing capability across unpredictable terrain. A 40-tooth GRX crankset provides efficient power transfer while maintaining enough range to tackle steep gravel grades. Shimano GRX hydraulic disc brakes paired with 160mm rotors supply consistent braking performance in changing conditions, while the thru-axle wheel system adds stiffness and precision when descending rough roads.

The wheel system combines WTB Asym i25 rims with Shimano TC500 hubs for durability and consistent engagement across mixed terrain. Teravail Updraft 700 x 45mm tires provide added cushioning and traction on gravel, dirt, and loose surfaces, while the Flyway carbon fork and frame provide generous tire clearance for riders who want to push further into rougher terrain.

With integrated cargo mounts and stable gravel geometry, the Flyway C GRX 610 is equally comfortable lining up at a gravel start line or heading out on a long exploratory ride where the map eventually turns to dotted lines.
