The Ibis Oso HD Ebike Frame is the foundation for a gravity eMTB built your way

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I recommend the Ibis Oso HD Ebike Frame to riders who want to build a gravity eMTB on their own terms. The full carbon construction, slack geometry, and Bosch CX Gen 5 motor integration give you a solid foundation, and the modular dropout system lets you fine tune the build as you go. This is a frame that keeps up with your ambition."

Who It's For

Experienced builders who want a carbon gravity eMTB platform built for serious terrain.

The Oso HD Ebike Frame is for riders who know what they want to build and need a carbon platform to match. Three colorways include a shock.

What It's For

Building a custom gravity eMTB on a carbon platform made for serious terrain.

Built for shuttle laps, bike park days, and terrain that demands 180mm of travel and a slack geometry. Bosch CX Gen 5 motor integration is built in.

Why We Like It

A purpose built carbon gravity frame with modular geometry and clean motor integration.

Full carbon with gravity tuned geometry across five sizes. The modular dropout system supports chainstay adjustment and both 29 and 27.5 inch rear wheel configurations.

Bosch CX Gen 5 motor integration with a lower, centralized battery position for better balance. The 600Wh PowerTube battery is PowerMore compatible for up to 850Wh total.

Heads up. We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.

Built To Fly

Ibis Cycles started in 1981 when founder Scot Nicol opened a tiny workshop near Mendocino, California, with no big plan beyond building mountain bikes that were fun to ride and tough enough for the rough stuff. Today, from its home base in Santa Cruz, Ibis remains a small, rider-owned company focused on doing a few things really well: designing carbon and aluminum mountain bikes that climb efficiently, descend playfully, and feel lively every time you point them down the trail. With long-time owners and in-house engineering still deeply involved in the day-to-day, the brand stands for bikes that are light, durable, and above all, a blast to ride—whether you are racing, lapping local trails, or just chasing that next perfect corner.
