Why We Like The ENVE SES 4.5 Disc Wheel
With its lightweight carbon construction, increased aerodynamic efficiency, and optimal compliance, the ENVE SES 4.5 Disc Wheel is our go-to for race days, lunch rides, and high-speed training days alike. Based on the original high-volume SES 4.5AR wheel designed to deliver an aerodynamic advantage on the rough cobbles, the new SES 4.5 Disc is re-engineered to keep us riding fast over any surface, keeping us entirely in control no matter how rough the road gets. ENVE built this wheel with a hookless bead design to optimize tubeless performance, including anti-pinch-flat technology that aids in the reduction of flatting.

Nearly Perfect Wheelset
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I've been riding ENVE wheelsets for a number of years and have always appreciated their ride and durability. This set went on my Melee and is a perfect match. They are noticeably faster than the 3.4s I replaced them with, and do very well in Colorado crosswinds. The new ENVE hubs are a big improvement over the older ones, and the rear hub has a very cool (and loud) buzz. Only complaint is the decals aren't very robust and can be easily damaged.
