Specialized Allez Sprint
Why this isn’t in every rider’s stable is beyond us. The alloy frameset with seatpost is $1700 and screaming to be built up with components that let it play as a budget rain bike, sleeper crit bike, or even a premium glam bike. Specialized took the essence of their flagship Tarmac SL7 to bring the Allez Sprint to life.
How’s It Ride?
It’s the Tarmac SL7’s lil’ sib and rides like it, too. Fast, agile, endlessly planted... it’ll make you feel like it can do any road you want because it can. You could also put a 2x with a gear range of your choice on Allez Sprint, which would change its capability to match your terrain and wring out the full extent of the bike’s versatility.

How Ours Is Equipped
We took the frameset and settled on making ours an unconventional speed machine. Roval Rapide bars keep the cables tucked (fitting traditional or integrated bars and stems is easy also). Check out our 10–44t XPLR cassette on this crit-whip. We did this snazzy 1x with an aero 48t up front and gave it range for blitzing crits and even spinning a couple of molehills on the cool-down.
