An extremely black shiny S5.

Slimmer, Lighter, Speedier

How to make a bike even faster? How about gram shavings across the board and aero improvements where we didn’t think they were possible. For this iteration, Cervelo shot for 80g in weight savings and overshot it by a mile. The new S5 sheds 124g from its latest iteration, which, combined with its aerodynamic upgrades like sharper trailing edges throughout, makes it 10.7W faster than its closest competitor.

Donut Hole Logic

Drag reduces speed, therefore handlebars slow you down... Maybe for other road bikes. The S5’s single-piece handlebar nearly eliminates airflow interruption thanks to the larger V-split stem opening and airfoil re-engineering. Plus narrow aero hood positions and fully integrated routing keep this redesigned cockpit as low-drag as current technology allows.

On A Roll

Meet the new Reserve 57/64 wheelset, designed specifically for the S5’s asymmetric seat tube profile. Added front depth improves low yaw speed while a cambered airfoil smooths airflow in high yaw scenarios. Additionally, increased spoke offset bolsters strength and lateral stiffness to enhance the ride.
