A punchy climb sends every watt through the Frequency 7X hub on the WTB CMR Light i30 29in Boost Wheel. The hub uses diamond-like carbon-coated ratchets that engage at 10 degrees, with a splined inner ring that keys into place without threads. The hookless carbon rim adds material at each spoke bed and drills the spoke holes at an angle, which keeps the 24-spoke build light while protecting rim strength.
