WTB partnered with aero specialists Stromm to engineer Vortex Generators and Trip Strips into the Byway RS sidewalls, drawing airflow closer to the wheel system to cut low-pressure drag. WTB's own Chung Method testing measured the gain at 5.8 watts at 30km/h, climbing to 13.8 watts at 40km/h. The tire pairs that aero work with a Dual DNA compound and SG2 puncture protection, so the speed comes without sacrificing the casing durability a race day demands.
