This has been my go-to seatpost for over a decade. Extremely light, lighter than just about every other aluminum and carbon post made, yet incredibly durable, and very easy to adjust. Thomson makes these posts right here in the USA, and machines the post from a single aluminum tube, no bonding or glueing the cradle support onto the post. The 16-degree setback is achieved by a bend in the post, not by setting back the cradle. Adjusting couldn’t be easier, the two bolts are very easy to access, and oversize carbon rails are no problem, as the cradle clamps above and below the rails. The cradle is also very long at 40 mm, so the rails are fully supported over a very wide clamping area. Micro adjustments to the seat angle are easy to make, slightly loosen one bolt and tighten the other to micro-adjust saddle pitch, snug both to 5nm when you get it perfect. Simply the best seatpost you can buy, and Thomson even offers Ti cradle bolt hardware as an option if you want to save a few more grams.
