For every ride, every day.
Whether you're heading out to ride a gran fondo or taking a trip along the boardwalk, Terry Bicycles' Bella 8.5in Shorts will keep you comfortable and looking good.
The Bella Shorts were constructed from a Meryl/spandex blend. Meryl is an extremely lightweight, breathable material that allows the transfer of moisture from the skin to the outside of the fabric so that it quickly evaporates. It also features a bacteriostatic function, thanks to a silver ion content, which means that it inhibits the growth of bacteria contained in the skin. Combining the Meryl with spandex creates a highly elastic fabric that provides exceptional muscle support while in the saddle.
The shorts feature a 6-panel design with flat-stitched panels so that you won't chafe. The front of the shorts are elastic-free so that they won't bind against your stomach as you're bent over the handlebars. Terry also added its Flex Air chamois. Made in Italy using Elastic Interface Technology (EIT), this is a 4-way stretch insert that uses multi-density foam to provide support for the sit bones and cushioning for soft tissue areas. The cover of the chamois is perforated for increased breathability.

great length, helpful chamois
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: medium
I am a 50 year old cyclist and didn't want tight compression or super short and low cut shorts. These are a great length, and the chamois is differently shaped in front than any of the other jillion shorts I've ordered. I went for a 30 mile ride as soon as I got them and they were fantastic. The only thing is that the leg rides up on me a bit- but some of the European shorts were squeezing my leg too much so I'll take it. I also need more padding for over 30 miles, but for an everyday ride these are great. I also like the simple yet flattering design (I got the black with white stitching) and they are subtle enough for me to wear with all my tops. The medium was more generously cut than some of the European mediums I've tried.
