The push of a button.

They're not the biggest, shiniest, most noticeable member of the eTap family, but the SRAM Red eTap Blip Shift Buttons are an important part of eTap's fanfare. Working with SRAM's wireless AIREA satellite technology, the shifters allow you to choose where you want to be in control of your drivetrain from and let you make shifts with a simple tap of your finger. Rather than being restricted to a static location, you can choose to mount the Blip Shift Buttons anywhere on your drop or aero bars, giving you the advantage of maintaining a consistent body position during the breathless last meters of a long climb or through the bike leg of a tri.

Great addition to my eTap setup

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I mounted these on the underside of the crossbar on my handlebars so I can downshift while climbing and they work as advertised. Mounted them partially under the bar tape so they’re pretty stealth and you really have to look to see that they’re even there. Minus one star due to them not coming with the bar clamps.

What length should i order if i am planning to set them up on the tops of my handle bar as climbing blips?

Best way to make sure you get the right length is to measure it. My measures made me decide to go with the 150mm lenght. I am to install my blips on the top of my bars on the bottom side for the climbing position. But depending on where you want to put yours. And the width of your bars you might need to go with a longer cord.
