The Red Front Derailleur's cage construction reflects the engineering priorities of the Red groupset. The aluminum outer cage reduces rotational mass and overall system weight, while the tool steel inner cage provides the rigidity needed for sharp, low-effort front shifts under load. Yaw technology drives the cage's rotational movement, keeping it in continuous alignment with the chain across the full spread of rear cogs and eliminating the need for shifter trim entirely.
