SRAMPC-1130 11-Speed Chain
Item # SRM001G
PC-1130 11-Speed Chain
Not unlike the company's 11-Speed mountain bike drivetrains have already done, SRAM's 11-Speed road drivetrains are rewriting the rules. You'll need a proper 11-speed chain to turn a Red 22, Force 22, or Rival 22 cassette, however, and that's where the SRAM PC-1130 11-Speed Chain comes in. Pair it with any of the above systems for superb shifting, durability, and longevity. As always, we strongly recommend replacing your chain and cassette at the same time for proper drivetrain performance.
- SRAM's go-to 11speed chain
- Compatible SRAM's road drivetrains
- PowerLock connection simplifies installation

How many links are on this chain? I’ve seen 114 and 120 link versions.

Got this on my 2014 Santa Cruz Bronson 11 speed, and I love it! No issues, easy to put on and a solid chain.

Can this be used with a Shimano drive train?

This chain comes in at a great price point which is great to keep in mind on a high wear item. Shifts as well and last as long as the higher offerings and the only difference I can detect is it isn't as corrosion resistant, however, after a little lube and some riding, it's good to go again.

Would you use this on a 1x11 mtn bike drivetrain with X01 cassette?

This chain is a great cheap replacement for 11 speed drivetrains. I've used this chain on many bikes and have never snapped them.

Great for my cheaper 1X commuter build

Got this chain for a new commuter build. So far the chain has been great. I chose this chain over others because of the cheaper price. I wasn't concerned with weight. If you want something lighter or more high-end, you can check out the other great chains from SRAM. But if you are looking for a low cost chain that will get the job done, this will work great. I have this chain on my bike with a 42T chainring and 11spd cassette and it runs great. So far I have no complaints.

FOR THE PRICE the chain is great. Sure it is not top-top end, but it gets the job done especially when you may go through 3-4 chains a year. Does good at little weight cost

Pretty solid price for a solid chain. Keeps you spinning for a long time without draining your wallet.

It Works
This is a solid 11 speed chain. You could spend twice as much and save 3g on the 1170 chain (or nearly 3x as much on the Red and save 17g...). But why would you do that? Just get this one. I've used almost all of Sram's chain offerings and haven't noticed a significant difference between them. As all chains stretch eventually just save yourself some cash since you're not really saving grams. And with all Sram chains PowerLock FTW!

good enough most of the time
- Familiarity:

I thought I'd save a little money by putting this chain and corresponding cassette on my otherwise-Force build. The parts are still new (300ish miles), but I'm a little disconcerted that I can make the chain slip on the cassette if I really try. I know what some of you are probably thinking, and the chain, chainrings, cassette were all replaced at the same time, as well as the chain is the proper length. I should also note than I'm currently about 200 lbs and have decently strong legs, although I do not know how much power I put out (yet; will hopefully update soon). If any of this has you concerned, go with PC-1170 or better. and you'll be fine.

Bought this chain as an exact replacement for my bike with sram 1x11 Gx groupset. It works great with nice, smooth and quiet shifting. In my honest opinion, there is no need to pay more for a higher-end chain. Does what it needs to do ... just keep it clean and lubed with suitable lube for your riding conditions and it will last long as other good quality chains would do! If you have any inquiries shoot an email to Connor Johnson at < cojohnson@backcountry.com > , he is a Gearhead and very knowledgeable on mountain bike stuff.

The hollow pin ones wear out faster. This is the same chain as the non hollow pin ones. Quit paying more money for the parts that wear out quickly when you ride, unless you just buy bikes to stare at them all day.

Threw this chain on my bike that sits on my trainer. Does what it needs to. I haven't put enough miles on it to tell how well it stands up. Runs smooth and fits my bike like it said.
