Illogical, but Great
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
It's not aero. It's not carbon. It's not a shiny color and will reflect differently at every angle. It's super lightweight to a degree that will not matter on any of my climbs. It's stupid expensive relative to great looking, aero plastic cages. But it's also a great piece of equipment. Well made. Fun to marvel at its light weight in your hand. For me, you either think it's the perfect fit with the aesthetic of your bike (mine's an Aethos) or you should avoid it because it makes no sense.

Very light!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Got two bourbon cokor pages for my matte black Cervelo Caledonia 5. Such a beautiful contrast. They hold my water bottles with bo issues. The Elite bottle i use feel quite comfortable inside but I guess I can try and bent them a bit for more tension. But no issues whatsoever. It is impressive how light they are too! I think they came out lighter by a few grams comparing them with ny carbon Blackburn cages.

It does exactly what it should do, holds a water bottle. Plus its light and looks super cool. Props to Backcountry for always shipping fast!

Nice Cage - Terrible Shipping
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The cage itself is very nice (purple), but time will tell how durable the finish is. There are already some nicks & scratches to the purple finish due to poor packing. Bought two and when I picked up the box I heard rattling. Uh ohh. One of the cages was not mounted to its cardboard backing. There were also no packing materials to protect each cage so it was just bouncing around in the box nocking the other cage. Not so bad that it’s worth sending back and the fact the I need them since my other cage broke. I expect more from Competitive Cyclist.

The finish is awful
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I received the bottle cages today add they sent them in a box with no packing material. Needless to say they got scratched up banging into each other on their way to my house. After that, the finish is just terrible. There are large spots with hardly any color on them. These are way too expensive to be this bad. To make matters even worse, they are charging my 7 dollars to return them. I don't understand why I should be paying for shipping when the items are defective. I'm so unhappy with Competitive Cyclist. I thought they were better than that.

Color was spot on and in my opinion what I had hoped for from the rainbow color way!

Really bad anodizing but otherwise good
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
The cage itself was nicely designed, nicely built and very light. But the anodizing was really bad...unacceptable. It looks like it wasn't properly anodized so the anodizing didn't adhere. Maybe it was just a bad cage or bad batch, but this one's going back. It matches my grips nicely and I'd like to get another one in the purple color, but it may be hard to get the Competitive Cyclist crew to pick one out for me that doesn't have anodizing problems, and I don't want to keep sending them back. Still, I might try to get them to do this for me.
