Keep pushing.

For over 40 years now, Sidi has been the tip of the spear in cycling innovation, with every new, worthwhile development bearing the Italian tricolor and Sidi's signature swirl logo. With the new Wire Push Shoes, the Italian legend is pushing the industry further into the future with a more refined take on the low-profile, clean-lined, and race-proven Wire design so that you can keep pushing yourself.

The Wire Push Shoes ride securely with Sidi's newly improved Tecno 3 Push fastener. Like its predecessor, the Tecno-3 Push system involves two ratcheting dials, Sidi's proprietary, non-stretch wire, and a customizable fit at the instep and forefoot. The Push in the shoes' title refers to the incorporation of a tempting little red button on the buckles' faces that, when temptation overcomes restraint, releases the ratchet's lever for quick adjustment, saving you the onerous task of flipping the lever up yourself. At ride's end, pinching two release buttons on either side of the dial loosens the wire. As with all of Sidi's fastening hardware, you can easily fiddle with the Tecno 3 Push buckles in the saddle.

The new model year of Wire shoes sees a return of Sidi's superlative vented carbon fiber sole. It shares the same construction method that Sidi developed with its Carbon Lite sole, yet it relegates the "Lite" model to the heavy bin by losing an additional 38 grams in the process. The weight loss may be due to the negative space of the vents, which shuttle cooling air into interior channels. The vent can be opened or closed depending on the temperature and your preferences — even in the middle of a ride.

Despite the weight savings and ventilation, the Wire Push soles have the same stiffness and confident power transfer you've grown to expect from Sidi, and they've also got a bit of forgiving flex for your toes while you're awkwardly clop-clopping around on the coffee shop's stained concrete floor during your mid-ride espresso break.

Also returning from previous top-shelf offerings is Sidi's improved Heel Security System (or HSS), which keeps your foot positively planted in the shoe. It involves a rigid, composite band that can be tightened or loosened with an allen key to adjust the amount of play you allow your heels. The shoe's tongue and instep strap have both been padded generously to allow for supreme comfort with tight buckles. The upper is made from perforated Lorica, a synthetic microfiber that has become a staple of our cycling shoe line-up since it became a signature component of Sidi's venerable shoes. Finally, all of the buckles, wires, outsole lugs, and heel retention devices are fully replaceable.

  • The new standard in professional road racing shoes
  • Carbon sole is light, stiff, and ventilated
  • Vent toggles between open and closed depending on conditions
  • Sidi's genre-defining last is the industry standard
  • Wire dial system ensures perfect fit that doesn't budge
  • Synthetic upper won't deform, so it fits the same forever
  • Heel cup dials to your foot for security and comfort
  • All small parts replaceable, so the shoes will last for years

Best shoes ever

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Best cycling shoes ever. I've been wearing Sidi for the past 14 years. Super comfortable and look great.

Change in priorities

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 40.5

Old shoes were wearing out so I decided to get something stiffer and lighter. Many of my cycling buddies wear Sidi, and I saw that they are not the lightest choice. Spoke to a lot of people and did some research, changed my priorities to stiffer and more comfortable.

Good decision. These are much more comfortable than my old shoes, with plenty of room for my toes while keeping the mid-foot and heel stabilized for maximum power transfer. I am definitely stronger in these shoes.

The Sidi rotating buckles are not as easy to use as Boa's, especially while rolling, but they do the job. The bridge strap is wide and I can crank it down without discomfort.

My heel was a little sore after the second ride so I used the adjustment screws to loosen it a bit. That solved the problem- great feature. I have used the closing vent in the front bottom as well while riding in cooler weather but so far, can't say that I noticed much of a difference.

I compared these to a pair of the newer Shots but prefer the buckles on the side instead of on top.

Thanks for the great review Paul. Glad you're liking your new setup!

Highly recommended, but

Excellent: fit and my self improvement on my bike with the correct shoes.
To follow: old fashioned style. In addition, the size 42.5 for 9.5-10 USA. They fit comfortably and exactly, yet some people would prefer go to 43.
Bad: I returned part of my order. Product money was returned, but did not its corresponding charged taxes. There is not answer about this. I feel uncomfortable.

SIDI wires are fantastic!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I can't believe the difference coming from Bontrager and then Fiziks, There is more room in the toe box but not too much. Heel is adjustable and the two BOA style dials get you to just the right fit every time. I have 400-500 miles on them and they just get better every ride. When I spend a fair amount of money, I expect a quality product and there is no doubt the SIDI Wires are a quality product that makes cycling more enjoyable and enhances performance. BTW, don't expect breezes coming through the vents, however, you can notice a little difference when open. A shoutout goes to my Gear Head, Joe Drapper, for the recommendation.

Perfect fit.

They do not run narrow, I feel my foot is on the wider side. Very comfortable fit. Love them.

Believe the hype

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

First of all I hated on Sidi because I tried in the wrong pair and instantly hated them, plus I couldn’t for the life of me understand why they were so expensive. So I found a pair of bonts on sale and snatched them up. Right of the bat they were uncomfortable and ultimately ended up falling apart, so a shoe that retails for the same and is suppose to be next level lasted about a month. So I ended up finding these on a phenomenal deal. Should of just bought these off the start. When you get the right size and fitting it makes a heck of a difference. I know get the hype and understand why they’re priced like they are, worth every penny. Just as stiff if not more so than the bonts, if there is any give then it would be absolutely minimal. The two dials let you since these down and if they get to tight while riding then it’s as easy as squeezing the sides. They are extremely comfortable right off the bat and get more comfortable as you break them in. It’s hobestly slipper like in feel. I could rave about these things all day, if you’re having a hard time deciding between sides or not don’t make the same mistake I did. Call some one up and they’ll get you sorted.

Can't Be a Better Shoe

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I know there are the SIDI center dials out there. They are beautiful too, just like these 'side' ratchet SIDIs. What I don't believe is that $50 more will give you a better shoe. You'll have a different shoe. And you'll have to learn how to tighten/loosen that different shoe. However, you will not have a better shoe. There is nothing 'better' than this SIDI. Too bad. I would love to have a real excuse to buy the center ratchet SIDI. Sadly, there isn't one.

I have used all brands. Bont shimano crono
Bont. Sucked. Horrible pain
Shimano rc9 great if you have flat feet
Sidi shot 45.5. Is amazinggggggggg. They fir the best. Stiff great power transfer.
Any questions email me .classicpro@aol.com
Lake are fantastic also but sizing is complicated unless your dealer has the exact model and size and then must be heat molded

Great shoe, but tight toe box

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 42.5

I love Sidi shoes. my prior pair was the genius 6 (wide) and put > 10K miles on them. I recently "upgraded" to the wire push and the overall quality is true to the Sidi name. 2 small gripes about fit bring 5-stars down to 4-stars. Of the 2 gripes, the narrow toe box is by far the most important. my toes are not "angled", they are pretty strait across the end of my foot. the toe box on these shoes is not compatible with square toes, with noticeable rubbing on the pinky toe. the 2nd gripe is really just preference. the shoes don't open terribly wide when the cable is fully extended (i'm just being picky on this one, it doesn't impact performance of the shoe). I wear an 8-8.5 in US sizing and purchased the 42.5

What is your shoe width in ordinary shoes? I am a woman with EE width in men's ordinary shoes, and size @ 8.5, BUT not a wide heel and not a meaty foot so am afraid to get a Mega for fear it will be sloppy. Your foot shape sounds like mine (square-front, like a bumper car!)

Very nice, but too much arch

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

These are a beautifully made shoe. Very adjustable and one of the few shoes where I did not have to tighten everything to the max for a snug fit on my normal width flat feet. That said, the shoe has a built in arch that is just too much for me, and no amount of messing around with insoles seemed to change that. Sizing is very similar to the older Giro Factor, which btw, has a flat last. I wear a 43 in that, and a 43 in the Sidi was just a hair smaller.

Awesome Shoes

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 44 Regular

I have been using Sidi for years, I trust them, they never fail.
Handmade in Italy is a guarantee in itself.
The heel retaining system minimize the play and helps you improving pedaling technique. You stay consistent throughout the stroke and you don't lose power.
The tightening system really tightens and does not let go.
The vent is the icing.

Outstanding shoes!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 45.5

Just bought these along with another similarly priced shoe to replace a couple of old warriors. Both shoes fit well, but it's not until I got to mile 30 and beyond that can I tell the difference. The Sidis are super comfortable and I don't even think about them on longer rides. Yeah, they're heavier, but that doesn't mean as much to me as long distance comfort. Sidi has found a new fan!

Love these shoes . . . would buy again

  • Fit: True to size

So why didn't I give them a 5 Star? Because the insert to too thin (my opinion). This is the case with most shoes -- so I purchase a gel insert at a local CVS. Very light. Great closure system. I'm a 8.5-9 shoe size and I have owned Sidi shoes before so I know my size, 43.

Loving these shoes!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

Based on this site’s sizing chart, I ordered the 43.5 since my Northwaves are 42. Size was dead on, though they were so comfortable I initially thought they must be too big. Nope. Just the most comfortable bike shoes I have ever owned. Closure adjustments really fine tune the comfort and fit. Even the heel width is adjustable!

And, having tried in the past to find replacement parts for other brands, I love SIDI’s easy replacement of worn or broken parts.

The shoes are light, comfortable, stiff soled, and even nice to look at. Combine that with Competitive Cyclist’s sale price and I am one happy guy.

I also like that CC called me to offer any sort of support I might want, even though I got the size right the first time and all went smoothly. They even offered to cover return shipping if I needed a different size. I mean who does that?!

Hi are they lightweight? do you know the weight?

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love Sidi for CX as well as Road. And the W-Push’s TECNO over the newer Vent’s. While Sidi’s are a bit heavier than some of the competition I find I can ride for hours in these without any discomfort. I am 6’2” & 190lbs and their “overbuilt” design is exactly what I need. The uppers conform to my feet better than the others and the heel cup adjustment seals the deal for me. I absolutely love these shoes and own more pairs than I am willing to admit.

Sidi Wire Push

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 46.5

I just bought these to replace a pair of 12 year old shimano shoes. They were quite expensive. I really love the heel Security system. I have had trouble with heel lift with my previous shoes and I had to tighten them down a little too much. This lead to severe foot cramping on longer rides. I can dial in each shoe with a different level of security with these so I don't have to crank down the wires over my forefoot. So far this has helped out a lot. The build seems very solid and the carbon sole is stiff. I can put down the power without any flex in the sole. I have put these through the wringer on Zwift with a Wahoo Kickr.

you ride...Sidi iRide

just a bit confused and hoped the liner would be BLACK (as in the pic) so they wouldn't get that funky grey dirty color from the road...but it's white! anyway, i've used the WIRE since it's beginning and it is solid. tried the SHOT, buy didn't like the cluster of dials on top...felt odd and not comfy....so, back to the WIRE...and so many colors!! i just wish the one in the pic matched the one in hand....details....

In response to Steve S., I just received mine in the mail yesterday and the liners are BLACK.

I agree with vernon My wires came with black insoles

Sidi wearer for over 15 years. I usually wear womens, but jumped over to mens because the styles were better. It took a few tries to get the right fit, but I am very happy. Been wearing the wire vents for 8 months now and about 5000miles. They are great shoes, comfortable and stiff. The right shoe does loosen a bit, but nothing I cant reach down and quickly tighten. CC are pros at what they do. Thanks, Doug for all the assistance.

Pretty, tough too, shoes!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

These are truly well built shoes stocked full of amazing technical bits. The size length seems right on and also on the typical width -- unfortunately, I have B/C feet, despite the length, so I'll return them . At the cost, I should try a more narrow type/style/brand. At to Competitive Cyclist, these guys are as professional as it gets. THANKS!

Excellent shoes

  • Size Bought: 46

This is my second pair. Fit is perfect. Very stiff sole for good power transfer and extremely comfortable on long rides.
