Pairing the Shimano RC810 shoe with the Dura-Ace PD-R9100 pedal stacks two independently low-stack designs on top of each other rather than leaving that math to the rider. The RC810's carbon sole platform and the PD-R9100's 14.6-millimeter stack height and extra-wide contact surface both aim at the same goal from different ends of the interface, and buying them together confirms the 3-bolt cleat pattern lines up without cross-referencing two separate spec sheets. The pedal's SM-SH12 cleats ship in the box, so setup starts at the same point for both parts.
