Heckler 29 Carbon CC X01 Eagle AXS Reserve e-Bike

Built to expand the capabilities of mountain bikes, the Heckler 29 X01 Eagle AXS Reserve e-Bike lets us stack miles in all sorts of terrain, from red rock shelves to loamy PNW descents. This updated version of the Heckler is equipped with two 29in wheels for enhanced rollover ability to carry momentum over the most technical terrain, perfect for remote backcountry trails. The big wheels work in unison with 150mm of VPP travel to produce loads of traction for scooting up techy punches and locking our wheels in on loose descents. Thanks to the middle-of-the-road travel and balanced 64.5-degree head tube angle, the Heckler retains the poppy and playful attributes associated with a mid-travel machine, with pedal-assist power to enhance the bike’s abilities.

The 720Wh battery expands our personal trail network with significantly more range than the previous model, while Eco, Trail, and Boost modes let us balance pedaling power with effective range. The frame-integrated flip-chip offers two different geometry positions to let you adjust the bike to your preferred terrain, and the frame is now compatible with coil shocks. This particular X01 Eagle AXS build utilizes the top-tier Carbon CC frame construction from Santa Cruz, fitting in as their lightest and strongest option that delivers unwavering performance when pummeling through challenging terrain.

The X01 Eagle AXS drivetrain offers instantaneous electronic shifting, while top-performing Code RSC brakes offer industry-leading stopping power. Top-tier suspension bits from Fox and RockShox absorb trail chatter at speed and offer loads of adjustment, and the Shimano Display Unit provides us with real-time data on our next epic ride. Santa Cruz fits this build with their in-house Reserve carbon rims, and even spec the rear wheel with their burliest DH rim for lasting durability over endless miles of rugged terrain.
