The Fargo Steel Frameset is engineered as a true drop-bar mountain platform, offering geometry dialed for stability, predictable handling, and long-distance comfort under load. Built from triple-butted CroMoly tubing, the frame maintains the compliance and durability needed for rough, multi-surface routes while preserving responsive steering through its optimized reach, stack, and chainstay adjustability.

Salsa pairs the frame with the Cutthroat Carbon Deluxe fork, which enhances front-end compliance and integrates abrasion-resistant plates to withstand the rigors of gear-heavy bikepacking. Its Three-Pack mounts, low-rider compatibility, and tapered steerer expand front-end carrying options while maintaining precise tracking across varied terrain. Compatibility is where the Fargo truly shines—supporting 29 x 2.2" stock sizing, 27.5 x 3.0" alternatives, and even select 29+ configurations depending on frame size.

The Alternator 1.0 Flat Mount dropouts define the frameset’s technical flexibility, offering adjustable chainstay length, single-speed setups, geared drivetrains, belt-drive options, and multiple axle standards.
