Why We Like It
The 4.9mm FlatStop bead hooks sit wider than a standard hook, which gives the tire bead more surface to grip under pressure spikes and lateral load. That extra retention is what makes it practical to run wider tires at lower pressure: the rim holds the tire where a narrower hook would let it roll.
