X-Bow 20 Allroad Disc Complete Cyclocross Bike - 2015

Ridley, a Belgian company with roots deep in the cycling world, never ceases to innovate. And with commuting and cyclocross gaining popularity, it took the opportunity to close the gap between a traditional commuter bike and a cyclocross race machine with its X-Bow Disc Allroad Bike. 

The X-Bow Allroad is similiar to its cousin the X-Bow disc. The frame is fabricated from the same 7000-series aluminum as its big brother the X-Ride, the X-Bow features double-butted junctures rather than the beefier triple-butting. But not to worry, these joints are still plenty strong enough to take the repeated abuse from bunny-hops as well as survive continuous bouts of Northwest rain, and maybe even early season sleet. And because all except the fastest of the fast have embraced the stopping power of disc brakes, Ridley mates the 7000-series frame to its 4ZA carbon fork. This fork features carbon legs and an alloy crown and steerer tube and is made purposely to withstand the rigors of 'cross racing. Additionally, it is designed to handle the torque from disc brakes reducing chatter and brake dive. You'll feel confident in tight corners and track through muddy trails without a second thought.

The Ridley X-Bow 20 Allroad was built with a full regiment of durable Shimano Sora components. While it may not feature the carbon bling and titanium bolts of Shimano's top-tier groups, it is a workhorse able to withstand seasons of travel and inclement weather. To ensure safe stopping in traffic, SRAM's BB-7 disc brakes have been employed. The bike rolls on CX Disc wheels with Challenge Grifo tires. The cockpit was built with Ridley's 4ZA seat, handlebars, and stem.
