Big Fan of the Chain Pig II
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

I bought the Chain Pig II after not being able to find my Park cleaner. All it took was one use and my chain was cleaner than I remember it ever being. And with hook that makes usage a one-hand operation is awesome. It's easy to use and easy to clean. I'm a huge fan of this product and wish that I had bought it sooner

Breaks Easily, Gave Up After Third One
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer

This chain cleaner works great, it does a fantastic job cleaning a chain, and uses very little chain cleaning fluid compared with other cleaners. The problem is that it's very poorly designed and built. The two black "eyes" that keep it closed are on two thin plastic strips, which break off after a few uses. Once they break it's impossible to keep this cleaner closed, making it a pain to use. I reached out to Pedro's, which offers a lifetime warranty, and they replaced the cleaner, twice, but I gave up after the third one broke, with the same parts snapping off, the two black tabs that keep it closed. I switched to the Park Tool chain cleaner, which locks much more securely, and does a decent job cleaning the chain. Maybe one day Pedro's will redesign their cleaner so it doesn't fail, but for now I'm sticking with the much more robust Park Tool cleaner.

I love tools like this...easy to use and, paired with a good degreaser, keeps the chain nice a clean when you're too busy to completely remove it for a full tear down. The best thing you can do is clean your whip...parts cost money and this is an easy this to use to maintain the drivetrain.
