PPL-2 Polylube 1000 Grease
Staying prepared for routine maintenance and general bike upkeep doesn't have to be complicated if you have a tub of Park Tool's PPL-2 Polylube 1000 Grease on hand. Pairing well with most standard greases, the polyurea formula won't damage carbon frames, and it was developed with a high shear strength to protect the key players on your frame from heavy wear and tear and damaging road conditions.

Grease for all your bikes
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Great stuff from park tool, no surprise there. Dark green color makes it easy to wipe away extra grease. Safe to use on carbon, safe on your skin (I think?) great to have around. The tub is quite large, I now have grease for life.

Good grease
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
This is the go to grease you'll find in most bike shops. Good for everything pretty much. Very slippery and allows things to go fast!

right product, right price, gettsum.
- Familiarity:

My families got a fleet of bikes and I'm sometimes helping with friends builds. This is the goto general purpose bike grease. Not a lot of places where there is a better product. Exceptions for me that come to mind--interface between Ti and alloy parts (galvanic corrosion); perhaps metal press fitting in carbon frames (carbon lube for that)..but all those metal on metal bottom bracket, headset bearing, pedal axle threads etc., This is the stuff. I cut a couple small holes in the plastic lid and keep a small brush pushed in one and a small awl/needle thing in the other. Pulling either implement out of the lid gives me a brush for larger lube applications or the needle for very precise applications (small threaded bolts etc.). Keeps the lube off my finger so I'm not inadvertently putting it somewhere it doesn't belong (on a rotor or my shirt...). I expect this tub to last me a lifetime of home wrenching.

Am I really reviewing grease? Yes, yes, I am. Your bike needs grease, park tool marks it, park tool is awesome. Buy this grease, take care of your bike.
