Great investment: go for the heavy duty
Just used my SA-3 for the first time yesterday while greasing, lubing, cleaning and getting otherwise dirty. Would most certainly have permanently stained my clothes doing these tasks were it not for the apron. I had some concern that the cotton would not prevent grease stains, and was considering going for a waxed canvas apron instead, but this thing is thick enough that it wasn't a problem. As the other reviewer points out, the pockets are useful, though I do wish they were a bit more compartmentalized, including one for a cell phone, as I found my tools getting lost and floating around in the bigger ones. I'm also tall (6'3) and the apron does not make it down to my knees, which leaves some shorts exposure below. It would likely fit most other people quite well. Given the quality of the fabric and the pockets, it's a no brainer to spring the extra few bucks for the SA-3 over the standard Park Tool apron.

Ruin your cloths or not
If you're reading these reviews, maybe you're thinking "I don't really need an apron" but do you really want to get grease and oil on that one t shirt you got in Fruita that you can't simply buy again? Great apron, great price!

Keeps my clothes clean(er)
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I'm pretty careless when it comes to working on my bike in clothes I don't want getting dirty. For take reason I got this apron to quickly put on when I start wrenching, cleaning, degreasing, and greasing. The material is sturdy to keep grease from coming through the fabric. Pockets are well thought out, hold tools securely, and allow easy access.

Had issues with the apron
- Familiarity:

The way the straps work results in the apron bunching up in the front. I cut the straps and sewed them so the apron is pulled back taught. With that all the other reviews are spot on.

don't appreciate it until you have it...
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Been home wrenching for years. I've now got a dedicated bike maintenance spot in the garage and this apron hangs on my workstand ready to wear at a moments notice. Heavy duty and dark so it doesn't show the grease/dirt that I used to wipe on my pants. Keeps oft used tools and parts close at hand. Saves me precious time since I'm not hunting for tools constantly.

Stay Clean
this apron is made from nice, thick cotton so grease won't easily (or ever) bleed through. Nice big pockets lower and smaller pockets higher for individual tools. cheapway to stay clean if you work on bikes a lot.

Does its job and keeps me clean
Some of my buddies have made fun of me for sporting my apron while cleaning and fixing my bike, but I won't complain. At the end of the day my clothes are still clean. The pockets on the chest are great for holding allens, lube, screwdrivers or most any other tool. You can even use this thing in the kitchen or to grill. Get one and quit wearing your wife's baking apron in the shop!
