Wider contact and a locked-in hook set the Dime Brake Lever Blades apart

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"The Dime Brake Lever Blades are one of those upgrades that immediately makes you wonder why SRAM doesn't spec something like this from the factory. The 17.5mm platform is a meaningful improvement over stock for one-finger braking, and the hook keeps your finger from wandering on rough, high-speed terrain where consistent brake position really matters. Available in bearing and bushing mount so they work across most of the SRAM lineup."

SRAM hydraulic brakes are among the most powerful stopping systems available for mountain bikes, but the stock lever blades are thin stamped or forged parts that limit how precisely a rider can modulate that power. The Mountain Racing Products Dime Brake Lever Blades address that gap directly, replacing the stock blade with a CNC-machined aluminum design that is stronger, stiffer, and built around how riders actually brake on technical terrain.

The 17.5mm wide lever tip is the central improvement, nearly doubling the contact surface of a typical stock blade and giving one-finger braking a stable, consistent platform that doesn't require repositioning under load. A pronounced hook at the tip keeps the finger positively located through repeated braking events on rough descents, where hand fatigue and trail vibration can cause finger placement to shift at exactly the wrong moment. The CNC aluminum construction eliminates the flex that thinner stamped blades introduce under hard braking, translating lever input more directly into hydraulic pressure for cleaner, more predictable modulation.

Available in bearing and bushing mount versions to cover the breadth of the SRAM lineup — from Code and Guide to Maven, Motive, G2, and Level across multiple generations — the Dime Brake Lever Blades include mount-specific hardware and, on bearing-mount models, a 3D-printed pivot pin removal tool to simplify installation. At 42 grams per pair, they represent a meaningful performance gain with no meaningful weight penalty, making them a logical first upgrade on any SRAM-equipped trail, enduro, or gravity build.
