Enduro and bike park riding expose shortcomings in gear faster than almost any other discipline, and the Leatt MTB Gravity 4.0 Shorts are constructed with that kind of scrutiny in mind. The floating elastic waistband is engineered to operate independently of hip belt pressure from a pack or hydration system, maintaining a consistent, pressure-free fit across full days where a standard waistband would bunch, sag, or dig in under load. A moto-style buckle provides a secondary adjustment point for fine-tuned security on steep or technical terrain, and the pre-curved leg geometry is shaped specifically to accommodate knee pads without creating excess fabric that restricts pedaling or bunches behind the knee.

The main shell is a midweight polymer fiber and elastane 4-way stretch weave that moves freely in all directions without losing its structure over repeated washes and hard use. Deflextion reinforced panels at the seat add abrasion resistance at the highest contact point, while a seamless 3-layer waterproof laminate across the seat and back panels handles wet saddles and unexpected rain without adding bulk or reducing breathability. DWR treatment across the full short uses a C0 PFAS-free formula that repels dirt and light moisture without compromising the fabric's stretch or sustainability credentials.

Ventilation is handled through laser cut perforated panels on the front thighs and a ventilated stretch rear yoke, creating airflow pathways that stay open during climbing efforts when heat buildup is most significant.
