Delicious Energy Bars
- I've put it through the wringer
I absolutely love the Lemon-Coconut Kate's Bars. I have a lot of food allergies, and these are one of the few bars I can eat...and t hey are my favorite. They pack in a lot of calories, important when mountain climbing, and they have a light, sweet-savory flavor, very lemony and coconuty without being too sweet. They have a terrific texture--crisp and chewy at the same time. They were my go-to bar climbing Aconcagua and other mountains. I only wish they still made the Bivy Bites, which were about half the size of these bars, broken into small chunks that were easy to eat, even when I didn't feel like eating. The Mango flavored bars are also good, but these are the BEST.
