A shorter clevis, a real coil shock: Ripmo AF Deore

The Ripmo AF's shock rate and clevis were reworked with input from the HD6's enduro-race design, so a 230 x 60mm coil shock bolts in without the tire-clearance compromises that plague most coil retrofits. That engineering supports 150mm of rear travel and a 160mm fork rated for genuinely steep, technical terrain, and the aluminum frame absorbs impacts a comparable carbon build would need to be babied around.

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"Running the stock air shock feels composed, but dropping in a coil is where this frame's redesign actually shows. The shortened clevis means there's no compromise in leverage ratio or tire clearance, which is the detail that separates a bike that merely accepts a coil shock from one that was actually built for it."

Heads up! We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning, and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearhead® Experts are always here to help.
