Kraken 29x2.3 TLR adds Sideskin durability to a fast, bi-compound XC-trail tread
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"As a rear, it’s fast without feeling sketchy; as a front on smoother tracks, it’s precise and quiet. Sideskin has saved my rims more than once. Great balance of speed, grip, and protection."
The 2.3 TLR Kraken is a lightweight, versatile option for riders chasing rolling speed without giving up control. A compact center band minimizes hysteresis losses, while braking edges are clocked to dig in under deceleration. Shoulder blocks are taller than on Skeleton for added mechanical keying at lean. The 66 TPI folding carcass keeps compliance high; Sideskin reinforcement fortifies the sidewall against sharp rock strikes common on modern XC-trail courses. Run it rear for maximum efficiency or front/rear for fast, marathon-style loops.
