C5 Thermo Bib Tights+
Gore Wear's C5 Thermo Bib Tights+ are not meant the milder winter training miles. Fortified with thermal layering and weather-resistant layers designed to protect against conditions that send even the pros shivering up the top steps of the podium, the C5 Thermo stares down winter's frostiness like a log cabin's cozy warm fire.
Gore chooses a Thermo lining for warmth, and its brushed finish is soft against the skin. Up top, a seam-free, mesh upper sits close to your body beneath the layers and ventilates well, so you don't overheat on the climbs. An Advanced Road insert (chamois) with Windstopper Cup technology upfront shelters sensitive bits from arctic blasts. Lastly, reflective logos help you get noticed when there isn't much light present.

Not windproof, not for very cold days!
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 5' 10"
Just finished a ride on a 43* evening and my legs were cold while everything else was sweating. I could feel the cold temp on my knees and thighs the whole ride. There was no wind except from my own speed and I could feel the air penetrating the length of my tights. There are no stirrups so the legs also bunch at the ankle and in general, I was very very disappointed. The correct description should read these ARE meant for milder winter rides between 50-60*f More like good for early fall but definitely not winter bib tights. The straps also chaffed my nips and that is unacceptable on any day of the year.

Not for Cold Weather - Description Off
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- 5' 10"
Before I put these on, I blew air through the fabric, and it was just like a pair of summer bib shorts.. The fabric is very thin and has no wind blocking properties as all. I didn't ride in them but returned them right away. The description on this web page indicating these tight are good for frigid weather differs from reviews that seem to indicate a temperature range of mid 40s-60 F. That seems about right given the weight and feel. I would not say that these tights would be capable of staring down winter's frostiness like a log cabin's cozy warm fire° as stated in the description. They are nice pants, and feel fine. Gore makes nice stuff, but these pants certainly aren't for the cold.
