C5 GORE-TEX Thermo Glove - Men's
Even with a proper cold weather kit, it can be tricky to keep your hands warm and dry in winter conditions. Cold temperatures try to get the best of your fingers, while tire spray from wet roads threatens to soak them. With a pair of weatherproof cycling gloves like the C5 Gore-Tex Thermo Glove from Gore Wear, early winter rides are certainly more pleasant.
The Gore-Tex membrane is waterproof, windproof, and breathable, shielding your hands from the cold and rain while ensuring they don't get clammy if you start to heat up. The membrane combines with synthetic insulation to keep your hands warm down to about 40-degree temperatures, per Gore's recommendation. The glove's interior has a brushed liner that is soft on your skin to enhance comfort. The exterior of the glove has a synthetic leather palm to improve your grip on the bars, along with foam padding on the palm to dampen road vibration—making them a great choice for longer rides.

Not bad
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I wouldnt wear these in temps below ~28 or so farnheit w.out another pair of gloves/insulation and like someone else said..probably not over 50 degrees maybe 55. I rode for an hour in these once or twice around 23 and my fingers were really cold. In temps from 30-50 though theyre fine.

Fingers too long
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The gloves kept my hands warm but the finger lengths are too long -- Lots of slack in the finger tips. The size was correct to fit over my palm, but my fingers are too short.

These gloves are very windproof and warm. They worked well and seem breathable during a recent ride in the 28-34 deg. F with wind. Haven't tested them in the rain yet, but they were warm. Fit is a little odd as they seem to be constructed of a shell, insulated middle and an inner glove which seem to be independent so there is some motion between layers, but they seem warm. I like the high-vis aspect, the cut is a little snug in the width. I normally wear an XL and these XL's seemed true to size though a little snug across palm. Finger length and width were good.

I've had several rides at 30F and these kept my hands nice and warm, but that warmth does cost some dexterity overall very satisfied and not wind chill

Very very small
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Very small, size up. My palm is 20.5 cm and the large was too small. Might have been women?s sizes? I?m not a large man, so if I can wear XL gloves and size small everything else, something is wrong here. The fit seems good, and the quality is there. And they seem really warm, but if it was really really cold and I wanted to wear liners, I think I would probably need XXL

Hey, I'm admittedly a cold wimp, but I wore these for the first time today in 40 degree weather, WITH Smartwool liners, and my fingers were frozen by the end of the ride. I like them otherwise, but not as warm as I thought they would be.

Winter Running and Biking Glove
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I got these gloves for when it is less than 30 degrees. They work great - they wick away my sweat and keep my hands warm. Not recommended for anything warmer than 40 degrees, but terrific for trail running in the winter. I also use them for mountain biking when it gets cold - I keep them in my hydration pack for those days where my lighter windstopper gloves (Castelli) stop cutting it on the long downhills . . . Terrific gloves for anyone looking for something for real activity in real cold. It fits me perfectly - but I like a nice tight fit. If in doubt you might want to size up. (or if you have sausage fingers)

I don't think I've ever worn gloves as uncomfortable as these. The fingers are too long super skinny. I can't full open my hand because the material on the palm Is inflexible snd the thumb is cut incorrectly. Fingers cold in 45 degree temps / not even riding. Too difficult to articulate move Mt to safety change gears, pull brakes, ride in the drops. Only gripping the tops is okay. Forget trying to grab chews out of your back pocket / the goofy fingertips are so long. Too bad. They match. Look good , but not made for humans who use their hands. Nothing like the jackets and jerseys.

My perfect cold weather bike glove!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I have several pairs of bulky lobster style gloves that aren't really that warm. This glove is amazing! I've worn it to fat bike in 23 degrees with wind and my hands stayed warm! I had such better control of my bike than with bulkier gloves. I'll wear these on cold road bike days too (temps in the 30s). They do run 2 sizes small (finger length is short). I typically wear women's XS and the men's Small fits. My husband is typically a Large in everything and he needed an XXL in these. These were an excellent purchase.
