Gore Wear C5 Gore-Tex INFINIUM Thermo Jacket
The Gore Wear C5 Gore-Tex INFINIUM Thermo Jacket may earn its name from hurricane wind scales. The C5’s windproof and water-resistant membrane fend off heavy winter elements to keep you as comfortable as a kitten on a ranch porch in the summer, even if the weather looks more than a little hair-raising. Soft fleece runs on the interior to trap body heat in during cold weather riding, while Gore-Tex Windstopper blocks out wind that would otherwise penetrate lesser fabrics. The result is a fully mobile micro-climate that breathes well during intense riding sessions to keep your base miles training and racing calendar in top shape.
Gore Wear uses a slim fit to cut down on fabric flap at speed while still supporting the traditional three rear pockets so that you won’t have to unzip the front to find jersey pocket snacks. The rear zip pocket — which is becoming a welcomed standard on modern cycling tops — secures belongings and keeps them dry. An extended tail prevents rear wheel-spray from soaking your lower back and glutes, and stretch inserts are on board for freedom of movement in cycling-specific positions.

Great jacket, runs a little small
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
High quality jacket and warm enough for 40F run with tshirt under. But the armpits are a bit tight (i got size small and am 5'10" 150lbs) Recommend if you are buying for biking it will be true to size but for running, go a size bigger.

Nice midweight jacket
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Large
Well tailored and with ample pockets and one zippered. I use it for 45-55° over another layer. As such, I got a large though my jerseys are all medium and it worked great. The reason I don't give it five stars is that there's essentially nothing reflective on the jacket, a serious flaw for an all-black jacket.

Cooler weather game changer
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

- XXL
The wind stopping by the C5 is great. I am now very comfortable on rides between 45-60 degrees with appropriate layering. Pay attention to the sizing and size up to layer.

Nice jacket with garbage zipper
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I bought this jacket for fall/spring and some mild mid-winter riding, and it does that job well. Details like the cuffs and tail are well done, and it has a nice snug fit. My major complaint with this jacket is the zipper. It is a cheap plastic zipper with very fine teeth, and the teeth constantly catch the slide. Its only a matter of time before the zipper fails and I'm left with either an expensive repair or, worse, an unusable jacket. For the price of this jacket I would have expected better a better quality zipper. Disappointing product quality.

Perfect for Winter Riding
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- Medium

I've hated riding in the Winter but decided to do so this past year. This jacket is perfect for temps between 40-65°F. Of course, you'll feel warm towards that upper temperature range. Our rides started in the 40's and sometimes finished around mid-60's. Unzip to help cool. I never felt sweaty from the jacket. It does a great job pulling sweat away from the back. I was always surprised to pull my phone out from the rear pocket to see how much moisture was back there. With a great windproof base layer, I could probably ride comfortably in 30°F. The fit is perfect in a medium. In some brands I could go with a small. So I do think these run a bit small. If I put on any weight, I'd have to go to a large. I checked the sizing dimensions before purchasing and that really helped.

First Impressions and Sizing
- Familiarity:

This jacket fits very tightly and I am very glad I sized up from a small to a medium. I generally wear small shirts and jackets unless they are cut like this jacket. With a Castelli base layer there is not much room to add another layer but that shouldn't matter! It mainly tight around my torso. The sleeves aren't restrictive at all and sizing up hasn't made the sleeves too long for me. This thing is definitely warm and windproof. On a cloudy/windy 37 degree day I was toasty and almost hot when riding aggressively or climbing. Riding downhill the jacket doesn't let a lick of wind through. I didn't get a chill which suggests its breathing well during the higher body temp climbs. So far it seems great and I am feeling stoked about it. Great first impression.

Perfect jacket; stains

Was super excited to receive the jacket which has been intermittently sold out in the orange color and size large. I was happy to see there was 1 in stock. Today I received it. Tags were already cut from the product and two black stains already on the jacket. Besides nasty black stains during covid times, this jacket is perfect. This jacket must have been a return. Noticeably been touched by someone else. It's a bike product I get it but still gross.

Really Great Jacket

Athletic body, I'm not skinny, I go to the gym 3 times a week. Wore this jacket over my jersey and it fit perfectly. I purchased a large gore jersey and also purchase a large gore jacket and they both worked out with each other. The quality, the look, and very comfy while riding. Kept my body warm during 39 degree weather. Purchased in black and it looks great. Gore makes quality stuff, would recommend
