The Right Glove in the Right Conditions.

Wearing the right glove in cool but not cold weather can be a tricky affair. We've worn many gloves designed for these conditions that have left us with either clammy hands or wanting something warmer. We found Giro's Inferna to possess Goldilocks properties in this climate. It features a women specific fit and works so perfect in spring and fall conditions, we keep it in heavy rotation during those times of the year.

The Super Fit 3-panel design is engineered for female hands and yields a snug, yet comfortable fit that doesn't bunch in the palm. The Polartec Windbloc backhand takes the sting out of early morning cool canyon breezes and it doesn't absorb moisture. Microfleece lining provides an excellent environment for the hands while putting in big early season miles or slipping out for some late afternoon openers before the weekend cross race. We love the simplicity of a slip-on glove and the Inferna allows for easy on and off and the neoprene cuffs keeps the elements out. Touchscreen compatible fingertips are standard for staying connected and the beautiful screen print polka dots offer a bit of stylish visibility.

Runs really small

I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

These gloves were impossible to get on. They run really small. So I can't say how they would perform.

Survived The Ol' Snow Dunking Test

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Full disclosure that I got these too late in the year for mountain bike season, and have been using them for nordic skiing instead. My only complaint with them is that the fit is just a bit weird - the fingers are way longer than my Giro DND gloves, and the material doesn't have as much stretch, so it does feel a bit tight around the fingers. I was a little worried that they would be too tight, but once I'm moving I don't notice it at all. The screen compatibility takes a little bit of careful tapping since the fingertips are long on me, but it works pretty well ? about what I would expect from most gloves. The grip on the palm feels really solid. I also really like the wrist cuffs on these - they're plenty snug & come down a good ways on my wrist, so I don't have to worry about getting hit with wind if my sleeves ride up a bit. Lastly, since I've been XC skiing in these, I've gotten to test them in some prettttyyy gnarly conditions. Today was about 20F, with quite a bit of wind whipping around, and I was really impressed with how warm my hands were. I even crash landed into a snowbank, and they held up super well to that, considering how dang thin they are. They're definitely not 100% water proof, but if you're a clown that sometimes goes hands-first into the snow, they'll keep ya going out there.
