GiroDND Glove - Men's
Item # GIR002S
Simple and effective.
When you pull on the DND Gloves, you're treating your hands to technical features, expert craftsmanship, and Giro quality. So, how did this enticing level of perfection come into existence? Simple. The DND Super Fit design has evolved with Giro's diverse team of cyclists and engineers on trails all over the world for multiple years.
This latest iteration uses a palm constructed from three pieces of durable Clarino synthetic leather. This ensures that the glove won't end up like unsolicited credit offers when you plant the DND on rocks. But, most importantly, the three Super Fit panels expertly follow your palms' natural contours to eliminate any bunching at the grips, where blood flow and trail feedback are most essential.
The precise theme continues to the back of the hand as well. Here, you'll find a moisture-wicking, four-way stretch mesh. This material is not only breathable, but it's also snug enough to quickly pull away and evaporate moisture without inhibiting circulation. Along the fingers, flex zones at the knuckles ensure shifting and braking happens as fast as neurons fire. Meanwhile, reinforced tips with silicone grippers are hard-wearing for durability, while also ensuring positive engagement with the levers.
The Giro DND Gloves are available in five sizes, from Small to XX-Large, and in the colors Black/charcoal, Black/rad star, Blue Tech, and Bright Green/black, Green Camo/gum, and Lead/gum.
- Super Fit palm with Clarino synthetic leather
- Four-way stretch breathable mesh upper
- 2mm EVA crash padding
- Reinforced fingertips with silicone printing on braking fingers
- Flex zones at knuckles

These gloves have an excellent, tight for with no extra slack. They have a good amount of stretch to them as well which makes them super comfortable. They feel great on the handlebars and provide solid group even when my hands are very sweaty. I've fallen a few times with them now and they held up great and protected my hands. Highly recommend!

Love the glove, fits perfectly. Not sure how durable it is, as I have not used it long enough. I'd suggest to wash it before first ride.

I bought two pairs of these gloves. One for me and my brother. The sizing is accurate and the glove fits like a glove! There is no looseness or empty space in the glove and this allows me to have maximum feel of my bike grips. No matter how sweaty my hands have gotten, these have maintained grip on my handles. They also offer some abrasion protection. I fell a couple times in these and each time I have gotten away with no rash on my hands but rash on other unprotected parts of my body. The ventilation is also decent as there is some perforation, but I think it could be better. The reason I give 5 stars is because of the amazing fit, flexibility, and bar feel.

I absolutely love these gloves. I bought my first pair, which I still have and still use, at a bike shop about 6 years ago. I've been expanding my collection every year by adding a new pair or two. The fabric is comfortable and stretchy; tough but breathable. The leather palms offer great grip on all of the different grips I've used over the years. I've definitely used the nose wipe a time or two and it isn't bad. It isn't the softest but you can't expect a Kleenex on the side of your mountain bike glove. I definitely recommend these gloves. Make sure to follow the recommended washing instructions and don't just buy one pair and they'll last you miles and miles!

Solid Go-Tos

These gloves have become some of my go-to gloves for so many rides. They breathe well, the fabric on the back of the hand is durable, the leather on the palm feels nice, and the nose wipe works really well. They lose a star because they don't work with touch screens, but other than that these are some great gloves.

Solid, Not Exceptional

These gloves are a solid choice although not really outstanding in any way. They aren't the most breathable or the toughest but are ok in both respects. The fabric definitely does feel tougher than some other lightweight gloves out there however that tougher fabric does feel a bit rougher on your hands. Grip on the bars is fine with the synthetic leather palms. They fit me well - I usually wear a size medium and that's what I went with here. If you are at all between sizes I'd recommend sizing up. The wrists especially are tight so it's not easy to slip and and out of these. The seams of the fingers are always the first spot to wear out on all brands of gloves so we'll see how these hold up long term but after a few weeks of riding they've been fine.

I picked up these gloves less than a week ago, and after the third ride the stitching on my right thumb is falling apart. I was stoked to find a pair of gloves for $25.00. They fit well, and are quite comfortable. I’ve used Giro products for decades and this is the first time I’ve had a problem with quality. I purchased them from my lbs and tossed the receipt, otherwise I’d return them.

Time Tried Design from Giro

Great glove with lots of design options. This is a no-frills addition to your riding kit that will function as well as more expensive gloves on the market. These feel a bit warm to me compared to other similarly padded options from other brands, so if you live somewhere very hot or humid, this may be a bit overkill. With that being said, it makes a great spring/fall glove in the Wasatch Mountains.

Falling apart after light use
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
The fit is perfect, I ordered true to size and they were just a tiny bit snug but so perfect. The feel is great, they stay on, no annoying velcro, they look cool, all the fingers are long enough. But, I've used them less than a dozen times, usually for 1-2 hours, 50% xc on smooth singletrack and 50% on road because it's spring and a little cool and when I returned from my ride on Sunday I looked down and the stitching on one of the fingers had come out and I could see my finger, my last pair of gloves (from a company whose name rhymes with box) lasted almost 10 years and I even wore them on the moto and I crashed more than a few times on both types of bikes. For the price and the feel I was ready to accept a new pair every season or two but a new pair every month? Nope. Hopefully I just got a bad pair but I'm not the only one whose had this issue. Torn between warranty and getting another pair and just going back to the other brand.

Get a Grip

Solid glove from Giro here. Nothing too fancy but it certainly gets the job done out on the hill. The 4-way stretch offers max comfort and the mesh allows air to flow through while cruising down. These gloves have lasted a while with the reinforced silicon finger tips for when you're mashing the brakes on the steeps.

Havent used them yet. Due to the snow in Utah. And everytime I decided to head south to St George or Moab, it snows there.... Really like the grips on the fingers tho.

A nice comfortable glove with no Velcro, what's not to like! The glove itself fits nice, easy to get on and off on the trail if you want to check your phone for trails maps etc. Keep in mind that even though you can operate the touch screen with the finger you still can't use the fingerprint scanner on your iphone ha ha. I can stuff my hand in the Large version of this glove however I found it to be overly tight and was not long enough in the fingers, especially the thumb when trying to work the shifter. I went up one size to the XL and couldn't be happier. My hand measurements 23.5 cm (9 1/4") 20 cm (7.9") hand length

Tough but Warm
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
These might be best when the weather's a little cooler and the trail starts getting a little over grown. Really durable, I've blasted through too much scrub oak and it doesn't even show, where as light weight gloves would have been shredded. So if you'd rather not replace gloves every season or so, these would do the trick.

Great Gloves!

I absolutely love these gloves. I have big hands and the XL fit me like a ..... er glove. All kidding aside this is actually my second pair of these gloves. After loosing one of the first pair I didn't even bother looking for other gloves to replace them. Out of the three pairs of summer gloves that I own these are my favorite. I like how the palms are thin and the backs are thick yet breathe very well so they don't feel hot. My hands feel protected and also comfortable. They also work very well with touch screens on phones. I am also very pleased with Backcountry"s customer service. One of the gloves had a manufacturing defect. I called customer service and they sent me a return label and a replacement pair right away. Backcountry is a stand up company. They are the first place I look at for gear.

Perfect grip
I just tried them today and i can homestly say they re awesome. My palms weren t sweaty, it grips really well to the handle bar and it absorbs a bit of the shock that you get going down. One thing is missing, smartphone compatibility :(

Gloves that breathe very well and are good, it does not have any padding if you were needing that, but if you need something to cover your whole hand. This is it and the price is great too! The palm is very grippy and the camo color is way awesome! Guess I could use it for airsoft as well.

For the price you really cannot beat these, but if you have some extra $$ go ahead and grab something better. These just are not that breathable.

Fit and grip great. A perfect basic low cost glove for warm weather mountain biking. They don't have any velcro closure to mess with which I especially like, just throw them on and go.

Perfect cyclocross glove. Good grip and no silly jell pads to make your hands go numb.

I had the same problem after my 3rd ride in them. Kinda disappointing coming from a company that usually produces decent quality products.
