Glitches and Corruptions
The unit has issues with received purchased content and unable to load to the unit using Garmin Express and also, several big rides that I recently completed; the fit file gets corrupted and unable to load to Garmin Connect, unable to repair file using tools available on the web and Garmin support unable to fix either issue.

Radar warning tone/volume
I’m dissatisfied with the tone and volume of the radar warning on the 1050. It’s a soft tone and I’ve already been surprised by several cars because I didn’t hear the warning. Please fix!!!

This fit what I needed. I upgrade from the GE 530 for the screen size. It is all that and more! There is so much data to gain from the new computers. The battery life has been great too. Switching (pairing) info over from 530 was a breeze. No complaints in that department. However, I wasn't getting text notifications, but wasn't aware that iphones and Garmins don't play well with one another. I watch a lot of videos to help assist me in setting up or finding specific things. For example, Virtual Partner they finish 45 min ahead of me but I can't seem to find where I can change the settings. Since this is one of the newest edges, the 'how to videos' are limited. As we roll into spring here, I will get a chance to play around with it more I am sure some of these issues will be resolve.

Generally very good
I've had this a month or so. My only complaint is that you can't adjust the varia radar warning lever. It's either on or off. How about a voice that says "car back"?

Love it!
I went from the 530 to the 1050 and what a difference. The sound is so much louder, bigger better screen and it’s so clear and easy to read. The touch screen is fantastic and the 1050 is so easy to understand and navigate.

Excellent Garmin Glad I purchased It
I was a little hesitant to buy another Garmin since I had at least three or four that had navigation, last one being the 1040. The tones have helped on upcoming turns. The horn is a great idea if I do ride on a bike path. The view is excellent while navigating a ride which is the most important feature. I have a new bike with the Di2, so this is an asset even though the 1040 has it also. Tons of nice new features that I haven't even tried yet.

Big Improvement over the older ones!
Nicer screen, lots of maps, and many training functions I’ll never use. Voice prompts are a very nice addition, especially when navigating with a route file. The bell is nice, but you have to take one hand off the bars to get to it and ring it. It would be nice it you could just add it to a screen like you would speed or distance so it’s easier to ring. One thing that I don’t like is you can’t reset the odometer to zero or update the mileage if you buy an new computer…Make it editable!

Fantastic Display
I had a 1040 and thought it was _hit. It was like a 2010 smart phone, you couldn't see the darn display. Who cares about battery life if you can't see the display. The 1050, WoW, what a difference that display makes. Bright sun, NO problem. How long will it remain that way, we'll see, but at least I can easily see the display. FANTASTIC

Worked well for 1 week
On Saturday's ride no cadence and no power. Changed the Vector batteries (most likely not needed). On Sunday's ride no Speed, Miles, or Elevation Reset the device (and lost data from 2 rides) Let's see what next weekend brings!!!
