Impressively light. Be cautious.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This thing is so light. I'm really impressed by what Fox has done with the Transfer SL and how well they've gotten the weight down on droppers. I replaced the tank of the normal dropper with this one on my dedicated cross-country rig and couldn't be happier. Installation of the cable is much easier than on a traditional Transfer as well. Actuation on this thing is harsh, so much so that it's kind of scary. The dropper can be lowered with a feather-light touch and raised with just a push of the button instead of a press. When the dropper returns, be sure to be aware of where your nether regions are.. Regardless of how tight your seat clamp is the dropper always returns with a loud 'bang' due to how aggressive and fast it goes back up. Also be sure not to sit down on the dropper too quickly, as it'll actually hurt with how little resistance the dropper gives on the way down. Overall, I really like it. It does take a few rides to get used to but it does the job and does it well.
